Perfect in detail: Unique construction, without swinging on the tower.
Wind turbines are crucial for environmentally friendly energy generation. However, during transport and installation, strong winds can cause significant vibrations that jeopardize the stability of towers and foundations. Scruton Spirals minimize these risks through their advanced design, which is specifically designed to reduce the effects of wind on tower structures.
Our Scruton Spiral features of a robust substructure that is spirally wrapped around the tower, which can be assembled during tower production. The substructure creates a high coefficient of friction between the surface of the tower segments and the spiral, ensuring secure fixation. With a friction coefficient of up to 3.0, the Scruton spiral is an indispensable tool for maintaining tower stability during transport and assembly.
The clamping body in the substructure is coated with PTFE and achieves a coefficient of friction of 0.08 to 0.15, allowing the straps can be stretched in a spiral shape, thus ensuring a firm grip on the steel tube tower.
With Scruton Spirals, you not only ensure the stability of your wind turbine towers, but also enhance efficiency and safety during installation. Trust our technology to successfully and efficiently implement your wind energy projects
